Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Shelmith Line! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (www.shelmithline.co.tz), mobile app, and bus services. By engaging with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Booking and Payment
- Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed after full payment via Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, card, or cash at our terminals in Mbeya.
- Payment: Fares are due at the time of booking. Unpaid reservations may be canceled without notice.
- Changes: Modify bookings (e.g., date, seat) up to 24 hours before departure, subject to availability and a TSh 500 fee.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
- By You: Cancel 48+ hours before departure for a full refund (minus a TSh 250 processing fee). Within 48 hours, no refunds apply.
- By Us: If we cancel (e.g., due to mechanical issues), choose a full refund or reschedule at no cost.
- No-Show: Missing your bus without prior cancellation forfeits your fare.
3. Passenger Conduct
- Behavior: Respect staff and fellow passengers. Disruptive conduct (e.g., shouting, harassment) may lead to removal without a refund.
- Prohibited Items: No weapons, drugs, or flammable materials are allowed.
- Rules: Smoking, alcohol, and loud music are banned on board.
4. Cargo Transportation
- Booking: Reserve cargo space in advance (max 25 kg per passenger unless pre-approved). Cargo routes include Mbeya, Dodoma, Kondoa, Babati, Arusha, and Moshi.
- Liability: We're not liable for cargo damage unless caused by our staff's negligence.
- Restrictions: No perishables (e.g., fresh produce), hazardous goods, or illegal items.
5. Liability
- Lost Items: We're not responsible for lost or stolen belongings (e.g., phones left on seats).
- Delays: Delays due to traffic, roadworks, or weather don't qualify for compensation.
- Injury: Travel is at your risk; we're liable only for injuries due to our direct fault (e.g., driver error).
6. Privacy
Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
